This was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made in business…

I’m pulling the plug on the 30A retreat.

Not because I didn’t believe in it. Not because it wasn’t beautiful. But because sometimes God calls us to build things… and then asks us to lay them down.

This retreat meant so much to me. I felt so deeply called to create it—and I did. But the stars didn’t align this time, and sometimes we have to make really hard, behind-the-scenes calls that no one sees.

When I told the women who had said yes, I was heartbroken. But every single one of them responded with grace, love, and hope.

“When you decide what’s next—sign me up.”

And that? That was the healing I didn’t know I needed.

Because the truth is—I haven’t felt very magical lately. Life offline has been heavy. This school year was emotionally brutal. And holding all the pieces as a business owner, mom, and woman? It’s a lot.

But this isn’t the end.
This is a pause.
This is a seed.

And I still believe that what’s next will be even more aligned and full of light.

In the moments darkness. In the moments of bitter cold. In the moments of stillness. In the moments of seasonal depression.

There is still joy. It’s interesting how sometimes all our brain can remember is the hard, the sad, the frustrating, the hurt, the darkness. When in reality there was so much joy and happiness.

Finding the joy in the winter has helped to change my mindset in so many ways. I don’t like the cold. I don’t like the snow. I don’t like the darkness.

But I have found the moments of joy and how to embrace them in ways that I now come to look forward to each winter.

Keep looking for the joy it’s there. 💜🪩✨

When my parents first found 30A, it wasn’t the dreamy hotspot it is today. It was just a few tiny beach towns, a handful of streets with colorful houses, and a little post office in the middle of town. But they said yes to a place they had never been before—hoping they’d find something special.
